                              The Town Municipal Council, Mahalingpur (TMC) was constituted in 1872. Town Municipal Council, Mahalingpur surrounded 12.5 Sq.km  and situated on  bank of    Ghataprabha River and Nippani-Riachur State Highway in Taluk Mudhol District Bagalkot. The Town Municipal Council, Mahalingpur (TMC) has 23 wads and 5 Nominee Members. The Town Municipal Council, Mahalingpur has a population of 30858 as per 2001 census, and as per 2011 Census present population approximately 36113. Mahalingpur town has 18277 male and 17836 female populations and it has around about 7311 properties.

ಗಣಕೀಕರಣ : ಮಹಾಲಿಂಗಪುರ ಪುರಸಭೆ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಯ ಆಸ್ತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಗುರುತಿಸಿ, ಆಸ್ತಿ ವಿವರಗಳನ್ನು ಸಂಗ್ರಹಿಸಿದ್ದು, ಮಾಹಿತಿಯನ್ನು ಗಣಕೀಕರಿಸುವ ಕಾರ್ಯ ಪ್ರಗತಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುತ್ತದೆ. ಶೀಘ್ರದಲ್ಲೇ ನಾಗರೀಕರು ಇದರ ಸೌಲಭ್ಯ ಪಡೆಯಬಹುದಾಗಿರುತ್ತದೆ. ಇದರ ಜೊತೆಗೆ 1997 ನೇ ಸಾಲಿನಿಂದ ಈವರೆಗೆ ಜನನ ಮತ್ತು ಮರಣ,ನಿರ್ಜೀವ ದಾಖಲೆಗಳನ್ನು ಗಣಕೀಕೃತಗೊಳಿಸಿದ್ದು, ನಾಗರೀಕರು ಇನ್ನು ಮುಂದೆ ಜನನ-ಮರಣ ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ಪತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ನಿಗಧಿತ ಶುಲ್ಕ ಪಾವತಿಸಿ ಪಡೆಯಬಹುದಾಗಿರುತ್ತದೆ .

                                 ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸರಕಾರ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕ ಕುಂದುಕೋರತೆಗಳ ಪರಿಹಾರ ಪದ್ದತಿಯನ್ನು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಮಹಾನಗರ,ನಗರ,ಪುರಸಭೆ,ಪಟ್ಟಣ ಪಂಚಾಯತಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಈ ಪದ್ದತಿಯನ್ನು ಅಳವಡಿಸಲಾಗಿದ್ದು.ಇದರಂತೆ ಪುರಸಭೆ ಮಹಾಲಿಂಗಪುರ ಪುರನಾಗರಿಕರು ತಮ್ಮ ಯಾವುದೆ ಕುಂದುಕೋರತೆಗಳನ್ನು  ದೂರವಾಣಿ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆ 08350-270538 ,ಅಂತರ್ ಜಾಲ ಅಥವಾ ಕಾಗದದ ಮೂಲಕ ಸಂಪರ್ಕಿಸಿ ಪರಿಹಾರ ಕಂಡುಕೊಳ್ಳಬಹುದು,ಈ ವಿಭಾಗವು 24/7 ಕೆಲಸನಿರ್ವಹಿಸುತ್ತಿರುತ್ತದೆ.

 Computerization: Properties within MahalingapuraTMC limits have been identified & details have been collected & Computerization of records is under progress. Citizens can avail this facility to pay property tax shortly. Birth & Death, Still Birth records are available online from the year 1997 to till date. Citizens can make use of this facility to register & obtain Birth & Death, Still Birth Certificates.

                                  Government of Karnataka had been implemented Public Grievance Redressal system in all Corporation and City Municipal council, Town Municipal Council, Town Panchayat. So that Town Municipal Council,Mahalingpur  citizens can make a register their complaints via telephone no : 08350-270538 or internet or in the paper form. This system works 24/7  in ULB.
